Traditional publishers usually print books in bulk (1000+ copies), which leads to heavy upfront charges for debut authors. To overcome this, OrangeBooks Publication follows the Print on Demand (PoD) model.

In PoD, your book is stored digitally and copies are printed only when an order is placed. This allows even a single copy to be printed at a time, eliminating bulk printing costs and making publishing affordable and risk-free for authors.

Since books are printed on demand, each copy has a production cost. Along with distribution margins and author royalty, the minimum price required to sell a book sustainably is called the Minimum Selling Price (MSP).

A5 (5″×8″) books are cost-efficient and reader-friendly and are generally recommended. For academic or research books with more than 100 pages, A4 sizes (6″×9″ or 8″×11″) are preferred.

Authors are free to choose the MRP of their book, provided it meets the MSP criteria. This ensures production costs and royalties are covered.

MSP may change due to market conditions. If required, OrangeBooks Publication will inform the author about necessary pricing adjustments.

Author Royalty = MRP − Production Cost − ₹15

eBooks:
Kindle ≈ 35% and Google Play ≈ 52% (as per live tool logic)

Authors receive 100% royalty on all international print orders and eBook sales.

Sales data is reflected on the author dashboard in the second week of the following month. Exact royalty varies based on book size, genre, and region, and is updated once the book is finalized.

Authors can order additional copies from their dashboard at production cost. Taxes and shipping are extra.

Minimum quantity is 30 copies. Orders below 30 are allowed with a small processing charge. Production time is 5–7 working days plus shipping time.
