He spent years as a mechanical engineer at some of India's most reputed organisations. Then he encountered a set of ideas that changed the direction of his life completely — and eventually, of thousands of others.
Yugal Prem Das is a life coach, preacher, and disciple of the distinguished spiritual leader H.H. Radhanath Swami. But before all of that, he was an engineer — methodical, analytical, and trained to solve problems with precision. That same precision eventually found its way into three books that now sit not just on readers' shelves, but inside university curricula across Maharashtra.
This is the story of how all three were born, what it took to publish them, and what happened when they found their audience in a room full of students, academics, and one of India's most followed spiritual voices.

From Engineering Drawings to the Bhagavad Gita
Yugal Prem Das began his professional life as a mechanical engineer — working with Mazagon Dock Ltd, a Government of India undertaking, and later with Datamatics Technologies Ltd in Mumbai. Both were significant organisations. Both demanded the kind of disciplined, structured thinking that engineers are trained for.
But the questions his engineering education had trained him to ask — how does this work, why does this happen, what is the underlying system — eventually turned inward. His encounter with ISKCON, and through it the study of the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad Gita, did something his corporate career had not: it gave his analytical mind answers that felt complete.
"His logical and analytical questions were fully addressed," is how those who know his journey describe it. The conviction that followed was not impulsive. It was earned — through study, through reasoning, through the kind of rigorous inquiry that a trained engineer brings to everything. And once it took hold, it redirected his life entirely.
Today, as a disciple of H.H. Radhanath Swami and a preacher rooted in Vedic tradition, Yugal Prem Das works with college students and families across India — conducting seminars that draw from the same scriptures that transformed his own life. The books were the natural next step: a way to scale that message beyond the rooms he could physically enter.

Ethos — The Inner Spark: A Launch Unlike Most
Most book launches are quiet affairs — a small gathering, a few photographs, a social media post. The launch of Yugal Prem Das's trilogy was something different in scale, setting, and the people who showed up to mark it.
All three books were launched together at "Ethos – The Inner Spark", an event organised by ISKCON Latur — a spiritual and cultural gathering that drew students, educators, and community members from across the region. The event reflected exactly the audience these books were written for: young people navigating pressure, families seeking clarity, professionals looking for something more rooted than conventional success advice.
The inauguration brought together two distinctly significant voices:
Vice President of ISKCON Dwarka, Delhi — one of India's most widely followed spiritual motivational speakers, known for his ability to connect the depth of Vedic wisdom with the everyday struggles of modern youth. A software engineer by background who chose a life of devotion — a journey not unlike the author's own.
Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded (M.S.) — whose presence at the launch was a statement in itself: that these books were not just inspirational reading, but material of genuine academic and pedagogical value.

For most authors, the measure of a book's success is how many people buy it. For Yugal Prem Das, something more significant has happened: the books have been recognised as educational tools worthy of formal study.
The collection — all three titles — has received such sustained response from students that it is now integrated into the curriculum for undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses. This is not a common outcome for any self-published book in India. It reflects not just the quality of the content, but the precision with which it addresses the actual needs of young people navigating academic pressure, career uncertainty, and questions of identity and purpose.
"Integrated into the curriculum for UG, PG and professional courses"
The trilogy has moved from inspirational reading to formal academic study — a recognition few self-published books in India achieve
The author's stated mission has always been to fortify today's youth with mental, emotional, and spiritual resilience — to give them tools to navigate life's inevitable storms with grace. The curriculum integration is evidence that educators agree. These are not just books. They are a framework being taught.
The Journey from Manuscript to Published Author
Publishing three books — each standing alone while forming part of a connected body of work — requires more than just writing. It requires consistency of vision, professional production, and a publishing partner who can deliver quality without compromising the author's intent or ownership.
Each book in the trilogy was published with OrangeBooks Publication — with full author rights retained, professional cover and interior design, ISBN registration, and distribution across all major platforms. The same author. The same standards. Three times over.
What This Story Teaches Every Aspiring Author
Yugal Prem Das did not begin his writing journey with a literary platform, a media presence, or an established readership. He began with knowledge that had transformed his own life, and a conviction that it could do the same for others.
What his story demonstrates is that a book — published professionally, positioned clearly, and written with genuine intent — can find its way into spaces its author never imagined. From a seminar room in Mumbai to a university curriculum in Maharashtra. From a personal spiritual journey to three ISBNs, thousands of readers, and a launch stage shared with one of ISKCON's most recognisable voices.
"Our mission is to fortify today's youth with mental, emotional, and spiritual resilience, empowering them to navigate life's inevitable storms with grace."
— Yugal Prem Das
Three books later, that mission has an audience — in classrooms, on bookshelves, and in the hands of readers who found the message they needed when they needed it most.
